My existence
is owed to the
Indomitable Will
of a lineage
longing for life.
and yet,
this life they gifted,
Is all mine
to live
without strings.
The gift is opportunity
not directions
Unbound from the cartography
employed to navigate the terrain under
their feet.
My gratitude
lies not in compliance
but stewardship.
Metabolizing
our compounded
pain & struggle,
will & hope
into fuel.
because,
I choose not to be caged
but launched
to places
no one else has been.
we mastered
running from death.
and now I run
into LIFE.
